Sietske Bosma gives a new impulse to the traditional linocut by experimenting. Her pictures are based on patterns translated into attractive images. After the printing process she completes the prints by the use of applications, drawing or painting, giving her work a special appearance not immediately recognizable as prints. In 2007 she was awarded the Allianz Prize for her work.
